In 2010 Kaukapakapa celebrated 150 years of European Settlement.
10 years later sees interesting changes and developments
In organising the 150th Celebrations documents and photographs were unearthed providing a fascinating insight in the creation of the settlement and its social development.
Hundreds of photographs were collected and identified by Alan Jordan whose family had settled in Kaukapakapa in the 1920's.
The photos and documents are now catalogued and available to view at Kaukapakapa's tiny historical library during the monthly Sunday markets.
Photos of contemporary Kaukapakapaka are being taken and added to the Historic records for future generations to see. They are now being catalogued and can be seen and accessed on this site by clicking on the various headings. If photos are downloaded and used please credit Colin Lunt Photography unless otherwise credited.
